Israel Tour Guide TripAdvisor Reviews And Testimonials

I think none of us will ever be the same after our unbelievably fantastic trip to Israel. And it was you who made it so extraordinary. I am sure our family group would not be easy for any guide because of the difference in our ages, religion and knowledge, but each of us felt totally included and connected to you, to each other and to Israel. You created an experience for all 3 generations that was spiritual, educational, emotional and fun. We would not ever dream of planning a trip to Israel without you. Thank you from a very grateful grandma and Shalom.

 – With very best regards, Lee

To say that Meir was outstanding both as a guide and a human being would be an understatement. He was extremely warm, competent and highly intelligent. In all my years, I have rarely encountered a person of his caliber.

We recently contracted with Meir More for a one-day private tour of Jerusalem. While on a Celebrity cruise with another couple as traveling companions, one of which is wheelchair-bound, we anticipated the need for a private tour that could cater to our specific needs and energy levels.
Meir was an answer to our prayers!
He was very welcoming and demonstrated a sincere interest in getting to know us and meeting our needs. He did not hesitate to take control of our wheelchair-bound companion, and made sites available to him that he never expected to see. He was totally committed to providing the best possible experience for all of us.
He was a great source of information and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with him.
At the conclusion of our Mediterranean tour, no other guide came close to providing the superior service that Meir did…he proved to be our finest guide and we all felt that we had made a new friend!

I accompanied my parents to Israel. The three of us vary greatly on our views of religion, politics, attention span and interests yet Meir managed to make the trip interesting, exciting and educational to us all.

The only thing we all agree on is the importance of good food and Meir took us to the best spots for lunch, places where locals eat, and had great restaurant suggestions.

Meir picked us up in Tel Aviv where we had been for three days, we drove to Ceasaria, Haifa and stayed overnight in Tiberius. The next day we toured some more (I can’t remember the sites), had one of the best meals of my life, and parted in Jerusalem. Meir then toured us around the Old City one day and out to the Dead Sea and site of the Dead Sea scrolls another day.

We laughed a lot and I learned a tremendous amount about the sites and history, but Meir was quick to gauge how much interest we had at each stop so no destination felt boring – even in the heat.

Most importantly Meir knew what he was talking about. His knowledge on everything we saw was astounding. Also worth noting is that we felt safe traveling with him because of his intimate knowledge (and passion) of the country and his being in tune with what was going on around us.

A Superb Tour Guide”

Reviewed February 17, 2015 Laura J

We had two days to spend in Jerusalem and Meir made them very memorable for us. He communicated with us prior to our trip and planned an itinerary that covered our interests and he provided great advice as to how we should spend our limited time. Meir even provided us with information on hotels so that we were able to select a place in a good location that was in our budget.

Meir provided us with so much information about the history of Jerusalem and the various sites we visited, along with great discussions about culture, current events and even politics. He provided Biblical history and often had maps, diagrams, and scriptures on his computer to add to what we were seeing. If you are planning to visit Israel, it is so worthwhile to have a knowledgeable and interesting tour guide.

Meir was flexible in allowing us to spend enough time at various places, however, he really kept us moving and on track. We could not believe how much ground we covered in two days and how much we learned about this amazing place. Meir met and exceeded all of our expectations! He is personable, intelligent, professional and a joy to spend time with.

If you select Meir More as your tour guide in Israel, you will not be disappointed — it will be the trip of a lifetime!

You are Done Worrying”

Reviewed December 12, 2014 brian m

How can you not worry? You are planning the trip of a life time. It’s lots of money and time and most importantly you want it to be safe and as special and momentous as you have dreamed it would be. You are done worrying.

We traveled to Israel in the Spring of 2014 and put ourselves in the eminently capable hands of the most expert tour guide we have ever used anywhere in the world: Meir More. We were two very well traveled couples on a one week private tour of Israel.

In planning the trip and itinerary he was thoughtful, direct, flexible and listened to what our priorities were and communicated with us leading up to the visit so when we got there we felt like he knew already what we wanted to see.

He was always safe and secure and firm about keeping us moving forward and on track for the days events and yet perfectly flexible to do slight diversions along the way so that we could truly see it all—-and we did! He also made recommendations outside of our set plan on things he felt we shouldn’t miss (isn’t that why you hire an expert?) and was always right. We soon decided to simply let him lead the way and it turned into a masterpiece of the best trip we have had anywhere in the world!

Meir is young at heart, smart as they come, very balanced in his views and we have not laughed so much in our lives as we did that week. He is such a quality professional and an adult (we didn’t want a kid) and such a thoroughly good person that we recommend him without hesitation.

Meir has our contact information and we would be happy to talk to anyone considering a private tour of Israel.

Best regards,

Brian

Dear Meir: My recent 3-week trip this past May to Eretz Israel was my third trip; second 3-week trip 2 years in a row. As one who proudly believes in Zionism & how Israel represents the front line in the battle of freedom & democracy, I can honestly state you were the best of all the guides from all these trips.

Without referencing my notes, I can say from the heart: -you presented an even keel temperament, exuding warmth & confidence. -you were not a “clock watcher” & always accommodated requests for different start times; you went the extra mile to ensure what we came to see & do was accomplished, no matter how late we were running. -as in the USMC, you were prompt & prepared. For example, as my particular interest was in the military area, you reviewed & studied the relevant battle sites to see in a particular area. I remember for Ammunition Hill you copied a synopsis of the battle to discuss the details with me; provided me with that coveted document. How could I ever thank you for arranging me to join the special commando unit’s orientation to the ’67 battle for Jerusalem? -you possessed a clear, unbiased sense of history; the political scene. -we traveled everywhere together that was considered dangerous & relished the opportunity to document what a Jew has to go through to pray at Rachel’s & Abraham’s tombs. -you were honest & genuinely cared about the health & welfare of your client. How much misshigoss did we go through to see an opthalmologist for my infected eye; return my shoes to Naot?

What more can I say? I have fired several guides in the past; to book you on week 3, I re-arranged my itinerary. In respect to my membership in AIPAC, I would recommend for them to rely on you to present a comprehensive itinerary to fully understanding Israel’s history, geography, politics, & battles. Zy Gezundt!

Archaeological Tour of Jerusalem”

Reviewed October 8, 2014 ojw49

My husband and I called Meir on short notice and asked for a half day tour of archaeological sites associated with the First and Second Temple period in Jerusalem. My husband is an avid reader of archeology journals on Israel and has taken part in a dig at Beitsaida so I was concerned that the tour might be too “introductory” for him. I need not have worried–Meir has done his homework on the latest discoveries by archaeologists, including Israeli archaeologist Eilat Mazar, and was more than able to answer my husband’s questions. But even better–Meir was able to take us to sites we had never seen before (Rachel’s Tomb for one, which is probably more interesting for the high-walled channel cut through Palestinian-held territory than the Tomb itself!). We have been to Israel many times and taken many tours but this was by far the most interesting and enjoyable. We highly recommend Meir.

A Spectacular Tour Guide”

Reviewed August 8, 2014 via mobile Travelqueen28214

Meir is one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had and I’m a very demanding customer with high standards. Don’t let the number of reviews fool you. Meir has been doing this for many, many years with numerous satisfied customers. His reviews were inexplicably deleted which is why his tripadvisor page is new and he has to start his reviews from scratch again. Meir is a true delight to be around. He is extremely knowledgable and a great storyteller. He is very flexible and knows the area so well that after one conversation with you he can create the absolute perfect itinerary. My friend and I were unique and challenging customers but he worked with us and gave us the time of our lives. He can give the basic tour but can also put a really unique one of a kind experience together for you. Meir is amazing. You cannot go wrong. And his prices are very reasonable. He’s just a good guy that loves to share the city and area with guests. HIRE HIM!!!!!

Meir is simply the BEST!”

My husband and I have visited Israel many times but never with a guide in Jerusalem. On her nascent trip to Eretz Israel, our travel mate and friend found Meir online to guide us through the ancient city. Needless to say, we were immediately impressed and enamored with how brilliant, knowledgeable and personable he was upon our first meeting. Meir continued to enlighten us all and show us areas of the city we had never seen. As a guide and mensch, we applaud him for enriching our experience in Israel beyond expectations. Meir comes with our highest recommendation for a truly unique and real experience of this incredible land, people and miracle that is Israel.
